‘Only those who risk going to far know how far they can possibly go.’ TS Eliot
I think this could be one of my favorite lines ever written. The last few years have been filled with a lot of risks. In some spaces, I discovered I couldn’t go as far as I thought… in other areas, I’m still testing the waters.
Creativity demands risk. It also demands faith. If we are going to do anything worth doing, it will come with the possibility of failure and loss.
How will we know how far we can go if we are afraid to start the journey? I believe that we are all capable of soaring to new heights if we just get in the plane. Who knows where God will bring you and what adventures you’ll share if you risk letting Him choose the destination (instead of taking the road you can see the end of).
This week—this year really—we are encouraging one another to risk again, to demonstrate our faith in God’s unfailing love and mercy, and go into the unknown. Whether that unknown is a relationship, a new job, a brilliant idea, or whatever, if the Holy Spirit is prompting you forward, we say ‘go for it!’ Let us know what you’re risking this week. We’d love to hear what’s happening in your life!
